Raúl Carrillo

Raúl Carrillo is the Staff Attorney for the New Economy Project in NYC, where he staffs the NYC financial justice hotline and provides legal and strategic support to community groups. Before joining New Economy Project, he served as Special Counsel to the Enforcement Director at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Raúl is a graduate of Harvard College and Columbia Law School. Prior to attending law school, he worked in the executive office of California Attorney General Kamala D. Harris, assisting with the 2012 multi-state mortgage fraud settlement. He is involved in various scholastic efforts to promote a progressive vision of law and macroeconomics, including the Modern Money Network.
