Dulce C. Arias, 18, was born in México in Purepécha land and is currently a youth climate justice activist and organizer in the Bay Area, Ohlone territory. She has been a leader and doing graphics for Youth Vs. Apocalypse (a youth-led environmental nonprofit organization) for the past year. She joined the movement of climate justice because she does not want people to suffer when it can be avoided. She wants those in power to be held accountable for the damage that they have done and to implement new policies that are inclusive and just for everyone, that will help tackle the climate crisis—because she knows it is part of her responsibility for the next generation to come.
