Gabriel Acevero is currently the Delegate for Maryland’s 39th House of Delegates District. Acevero became the first openly gay Afro-Latino in Maryland’s House of Delegates when he won his election in 2018. Acevero is a former organizer and activist affiliated with a range of groups including Black Lives Matter and United Food and Commercial Workers.
